Culture & Engagement and Healthy UCD are delighted, in conjunction with UCD Sport & Fitness to build on our recent running offering with two new programmes.
5K to 10K programme – Women’s Mini Marathon Preparation
In support of female colleagues who may be considering entering the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon on Sunday, 4 June 2023 or just want to advance their running, we are offering a female only 5K to 10K programme using the new UCD Athletics Track. Building on the previous Desk to 5K course this programme will help earlier participants move up to 10K or help those with some experience to move on further.
Length of course: 6 Weeks (18 April to 23 May 2023)
Day: Tuesday
Time: 1:10pm for 40 minutes
Venue: UCD Athletics Track (please note on some days the track may not be available, a route on campus will be used instead)

Desk to 5K programme - open to all employees
This programme on Wednesdays, is designed for those who want to take up running for the first time or those lapsed from regularly getting out for a run, and is designed to build cardio fitness. Whether your goal is to run 5k for the first time or to improve your personal best, you are welcome.
Length of course: 6 Weeks (19 April to 24 May 2023)
Day: Wednesday
Time: 1:10pm for 40 minutes
Venue: UCD Athletics Track (please note on some days the track may not be available, a route on campus will be used instead)
Cost: €25
