
Before you arrive
We are delighted to welcome you to UCD, Ireland’s Global University. Once you accept your offer, you should prepare for the start of term. There are quite a few important things you need to do in the next few weeks, even before you get here!
- Accept your offer
Ensure your place on the course by accepting your offer. If you are accepting online, you may be asked to submit an enrolment deposit of €500. This deposit is applied towards your tuition fee. There may be a slightly different mechanism for some graduate research programmes. Please check with your School.
- Review payment options
UCD has made a number of payment options available to help you settle your fees quickly and efficiently.
- Check immigration regulations and apply for a visa (if applicable)
All non-EU/EEA students must comply with Irish immigration requirements. See the UCD Global website for further information about visa and immigration requirements.
- Finalise your accommodation
If you have been offered a place on campus, click ‘Pay Residential Fees’ to view and pay residential fees. If you will be living off campus, check out the UCD student accommodation search or the following links:

- Check Student IT essentials
To help you get started using IT Services at UCD for your studies.
- Download UCD Mobile from Google Play or App Store
This app will really help you settle into life in UCD. You will find info on how to get to UCD, a map of the UCD campus (which includes all eateries and their opening hours), your Orientation timetable, as well as UCD Connect, a staff directory, welcome guides and library journals. You can even book the cinema and gym.
- Get social!
Check out the list of UCD-related social media sites and keep up to date with the latest news and events from around the University.
- Begin registration
A start time for registration will be allocated to you and confirmation will be sent to your UCD Connect email. To enter online registration, go to UCD Connect, click on the SISWeb icon and enter your login details. Make sure you upload your photo so that you can collect your UCD Student Card (Ucard).
