About the Study

The Survey of Public Attitudes Towards Forestry in Ireland was conducted by the Economic and Social Research Institute in Summer 1998 on behalf of the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources (then named Department of of Marine and Natural Resources). The purpose of the survey was to investigate people’s attitudes towards forestry in Ireland today and how it should be developed in the future.

Accessing the data

To access the data, please complete a ISSDA Data Request Form for Research Purposes, sign it, send it to ISSDA by email.

Data will be disseminated on receipt of a fully completed, signed form. Incomplete or unsigned forms will be returned to the data requester for completion.
