News Item Denise O'Brien

Dr. Denise O'Brien and NMH Holles Street midwife Sinéad Thompson were recently interviewed by journalist Peter McGuire for their research project Labour Hopscotch Framework: Making Birth Better For All.

The framework was developed in 2015 by Sinéad Thompson, a community midwife at the National Maternity Hospital in Holles Street. Sinéad worked closely with Dr Denise O’Brien, and SNMHS colleagues to formally evaluate the research and were recently awarded the UCD Health Affairs AHSS Grant.

Congratulations to Dr. O'Brien, Sinéad and team for the recognition of this important research for midwifery care.
