Note that your organisation may have policies on which video conferencing tools are permitted to be used.

During this module, participants will identify the strong areas of their teams and build mechanisms of mutual support. The goal is for team members to feel more supported in times of difficulty, and to foster a climate of trust to facilitate people in being open about errors or mistakes.

1-2 team members can facilitate discussions and ensure everyone has the opportunity to contribute. One facilitator can act as whiteboard/flip chart scribe to collect ideas and outputs, and identify common themes from discussions.

The session is structured as follows:

1. Brief introduction (1 minute)
2. Getting to know each other (20 minutes)
3. Team as a combination of individual strengths (30 minutes)
4. Trusting team member instructions (10 minutes)
5. Session feedback and close (5 minutes)

Mutual trust helps teams to work effectively and communicate in an open, respectful manner. This is a cornerstone of high-quality teamworking and supports the delivery of safest possible care.¹
