Ireland ( Leaving Certificate)

UCD Course Entry Requirements and Places

In order to be eligible to compete for any course, you must obtain a minimum of Grade H5 in two subjects and a minimum of Grade O6/H7 in the remaining four subjects. For all courses Irish and English are required.

Specific subjects and grades required for courses are shown below. Click on the CAO code to get course information and details of particular Leaving Certificate subjects which, while not required, are recommended.

Please also view details of the general regulations and minimum entry requirements. As the number of applicants meeting minimum entry requirements generally exceeds the number of places available, admission is competitive based on a points system. Please see also information about how to apply.
