Study With Us

UCD School of Classics is committed to teaching excellence.  Our aim is to inspire you with our passion, to inform your learning through our expertise, and to provide a supportive environment in which you can nurture your talents to your full potential. Classics is an interdisciplinary subject, comprising history, literature, philosophy, and material culture, and it will appeal to anyone interested in learning more about Greek and Roman antiquity, both for its own sake and for its relevance to the present. All our modules in Greek and Roman Civilisation study the ancient texts in English translation. If you like languages, however, there are opportunities for you to study both Latin and Ancient Greek at all levels from Beginners to Advanced.
