The School of Medicine is the largest School in UCD with over 500 staff and 3,500 students in total and we are geographically dispersed at several sites. We identify areas for improvement in the School by conducting surveys, analysing staff and student data and holding focus groups with staff and students in the School.
Staff and students have championed initiatives that are part of our Athena SWAN gender equality action plan such as supporting academic progression and enhancing community in the School and also other wider initiatives such as supporting anti-racism campaigns in UCD, widening student participation, inclusive teaching and learning and providing supports for neurodiverse and disabled people in our community.
