Sports Inclusion

Sports Inclusion

UCD Sport Clubs have been governed and supported by the Athletic Union Council (AUC) since 1909. Currently the AUC manages over 50 sports clubs providing a range of opportunities for UCD students to train, play, compete, manage and coach in sport at all levels.

Supported by its mission, vision and values the AUC will do its best to ensure that all students who wish to get involved in sport at a level to which they aspire are provided with opportunities to enable them to achieve their full potential. A core value of the AUC is that all UCD Sports Clubs will be diverse and inclusive, encouraging engagement from all sections of the University population.

A list of all Sports clubs, including a brief description of the club and the contact details can be found in the Club List.

Getting involved with a sport club is not limited to participating in the sport itself, UCD Sport clubs are predominantly student run and student led and therefore many volunteering opportunities exist in the form of committee position and coaching. See our Get Involved in Clubs page for more info.
