UCD AFC CUFL Final

UCD AFC Crowned CUFL Champions with Emphatic Win

UCD AFC claimed the Colleges and Universities Football League (CUFL) Premier Division title last night with an impressive 4–0 victory over ATU Sligo at Athlone Town Stadium. The result marks UCD’s tenth CUFL Premier title and a memorable night for a squad blending emerging student talent with experienced leadership.

Both teams created early chances, while UCD eventually found the breakthrough just before half-time when Hugh Smith scored from a header.

UCD doubled their lead early into the second half. A well-worked move down the right saw Carl Lennox deliver a high cross to Luke O’Regan, whose low pass into the box allowed Killian Cailloce to finish from close range.

From there, UCD took full control. Player of the Match Mikey McCullagh added a third late on, and substitute Stephen Mohan rounded off the scoring to secure a commanding win.

UCD Starting XI:
D Kavanagh; L O’Regan (C Bolton 68), E Clancy, N Holohan, A Wells; R Finn, T Morley; M McCullagh, L Dignam, K Cailloce (M Alonge 76) (S Mohan 82); H Smith (M Raggett 75).
