UCD Athletics achieved phenomenal success at this year's 123.ie National Senior Track and Field Championships, securing 10 medals overall.
Highlights of the weekend included the club securing 6 National Senior titles as well as a new National U23 Record. This year also saw UCD field it's largest number of entries ever at the National Senior Championships, including having a male and female athlete entered into every sprint and middle-distance final.
Gold medals were won by Bori Akinola (Men's 100m), Cara Murphy (400m Hurdles), and Nicola Tuthill, who also set the new U23 National record in the Women's Hammer.
UCD also secured 3 golds in the relays, including the Mixed 4x400m Relay (Debbie, Gregor, Hannah, Joe), Women's 4x400m Relay (Ellie, Mary, Molly, Renee), and the Women's 4x100m Relay (Anna, Ella, Molly, Rhianna).
Sarah Healy brought home silver in the Women's 800m, as did Cian McPhillips in the Men's 800m. Jonas Stafford also secured a silver in the Men's 3000m Steeplechase.
Rihanna McCarthy also claimed a bronze medal for UCD in the Women's Long Jump.
