Our research is focused on the development of functional biomaterials including polymers and hydrogels with the aim of improving therapeutic outcomes for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), diabetic skin wounds, burn wounds & acute wounds, cartilage regeneration and neurodegenerative diseases.
The Kirby Lab
Our research is focused on the study of systemic and tissue-specific inflammation in common human inflammatory skin diseases (especially psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa), from both laboratory and clinical perspectives.
The Zeugolis Lab:
Using in vitro and ex vivo assays, our lab examines the cellular and molecular control of key skin and hair follicle biologic process in health (incl. aging) and disease.
