Transgender Day of Remembrance

20 November 2022: Transgender Day of Remembrance

On 20 November, since 1999, Transgender Day of Remembrance is a day to memorialise those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. In observation of the purpose of this day, we want to share with you the names of the reported individuals who have lost their lives because of transphobia or intolerance between 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022.

For the Transgender Day of Remembrance, UCD’s LGBT Staff Network held a short event to remember all of those who have lost their lives because of Transphobia and intolerance. The event was held at the chaplaincy centre on Monday 21 November 2022 at 1pm.
