As the only Veterinary School on the island of Ireland, the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine has a long and proud tradition of training students in Veterinary Medicine, and more recently in Veterinary Nursing. We also offer a range of Graduate Certificate programmes for those in practice, have an active research portfolio and a clinical practice in the UCD Veterinary Hospital which serves the needs of the veterinary profession and the animal owning public.

The UCD School of Veterinary Medicine is the only centre for veterinary education in Ireland, and we enjoy a long and proud tradition of training veterinary professionals to the highest standards. We are accredited by the (opens in a new window)AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and the School is one of only seven veterinary schools currently accredited by the AVMA in Europe.
