UCD School of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Wall /Balla Alumni Scoil an Leighis Tréidliachta UCD
June 2022 marks 20 years since the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine moved to its new home in the Veterinary Sciences Centre on UCD’s Belfield campus. The faculty moved from Ballsbridge, where the teaching of veterinary had been based since 1900 when the Royal Veterinary College of Ireland on Pembroke Road and Shelbourne Road was constructed by G. & T. Crampton. UCD’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ballsbridge was established in 1946, and the campaign for a new Veterinary School on the Belfield campus was launched in 1992.
As a School, we are immensely proud of our Alumni and so to mark this important milestone, we have chosen to celebrate twenty of the most exceptional alumni from across the UCD Veterinary Community. The alumni you see on our walls today have been nominated by staff, students and graduates - they have all excelled in their fields, made a positive impact in others’ lives and they exemplify our values of excellence, integrity, collegiality, engagement, creativity, diversity and innovation.
I Meitheamh 2022, beidh 20 bliain ann ó bhog Scoil an Leighis Tréidliachta UCD chuig a baile nua i mBelfield – ‘Fiche bliain ag fás.’ Táimid an-bhródúil mar Scoil as ár Alumni agus ar mhaithe leis an gcloch mhíle seo a chomóradh, tá 20 alumni roghnaithe againn ó phobal tréidliachta UCD. B’iad mic léinn, baill foirne agus céimithe a roghnaigh an alumni atá le feiceáil ar an mballa inniu, is daoine eisceachtúla iad a rinne éacht i réimse na tréidliachta agus bhí tionchar nach mór acu ar shaolta daoine. Léiríonn siad ár luachanna; barr feabhais, ionracas, coláisteacht, rannpháirtaíocht, cruthaitheacht, iolarthacht agus nuálaíocht.
