Students who fail to attend or fail to achieve a pass in either Basic Life Support or Manual Handling will have to re-take these components and reach a pass before entering clinical (this may incur a cost to the student). all pre-requisites must be successfully completed prior to entering clinical.
Candidates must normally achieve at least 80% attendance at clinical placements, and must successfully complete relevant specified learning activities before taking the end of module assessment.
Candidates not achieving the requisite attendance stated above must, before completing the module and its assessments, undertake such clinical placement as is considered necessary to address the deficit.
Candidates who do not complete the module placements within the prescribed clinical placement period will be scheduled for Clinical Recovery Placements to facilitate students in the completion of the clinical placement requirements. The Clinical Recovery Placements will be scheduled in agreement with supervising radiographers within the clinical environment.
