SSJ38290 Discrimination: Law & Society

Academic Year 2023/2024

The purpose of this module is to assess key concepts associated with the term 'discrimination', and to analyse how these concepts are embedded in law.

It draws on interdisciplinary and socio-legal scholarship in exploring whether legal measures address the forms of discrimination experienced by various social groups.

Irish law on access to goods, services, education and accommodation is used as an exemplar.
