This programme is aimed at students who have already completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and wish to embark on successful careers in the management of global engineering and technology firms. This one-year Masters degree provides grounding in operations, quality, marketing, systems planning, and analysis while building on student’s technical expertise to develop the next generation of industry leaders. We seek to develop creative problem solvers who can critically analyse problems in a business context and propose and develop practical and feasible solutions.
Our teaching methods and learning environment are highly interactive and varied and include lectures, workshops, tutorials, labs, and practical exercises. Group-based modular projects and a final applied company-based consultancy project enable students to integrate the covered theoretical knowledge with practice. All of these unique features are the key elements in the programme’s design and success over the years.
T288 MEngSc Engineering Management FT is a 1-year 90-credit full-time Masters Programme.
There are 85 credits of Core Modules and students must also take 5 credits of Option Modules (prescribed or negotiated). Students must consult with the Programme Director and Module Co-ordinator satisfy prior learning requirements for the chosen module and may not have taken a module with similar content previously. Selection of negotiated Option modules is subject to availability, timetable constraints, and consultation with Programme Director/Module Coordinator, AND any option module by negotiation is subject to formal approval by the Engineering Programme Board.
