Kenneth Dawson named as Highly Cited Researcher for 2019 by Clarivate
Tuesday, 27 November 2019
Highly Cited Researchers are among those who have demonstrated significant and broad influence reflected in their publication of multiple papers, highly cited by their peers over the course of the last decade.
Prof. Kenneth Dawson, Director of the Centre for BioNano Interactions (CBNI), has again been named a Highly Cited Researcher as part of Clarivate's 2019 list.
Of the world’s population of scientists and social scientists, the Web of Science Group’s Highly Cited Researchers are one in 1,000. These highly cited papers rank in the top 1% by citations for a chosen field or fields and year in Web of Science.
For the Highly Cited Researchers 2019 analysis, the papers surveyed were the most recent papers available to Clarivate – those published and cited during 2008-2018 and which at the end of 2018 ranked in the top 1% by citations for their ESI field and year (the definition of a highly cited paper).
Professor Dawson's research at CBNI focuses on interactions between nanomaterials and living systems to develop novel ways of using the nanoscale in precision therapeutics, diagnostics and other advanced convergent technologies. Thank you to all those currently working as part of CBNI, collaborators, past team members and most especially, funding bodies who have supported the work that led to this distinction.
