Find out how to connect to the wireless and wired networks, and about printing from your laptop.

Wireless network

The wireless network is available in all of our libraries. Find out how to access the internet using a wireless network.

Wireless hotspots are found at the following locations:

  • James Joyce Library
  • Richview Library
  • Wireless is also available in Health Sciences Library, Veterinary Medicine Library and Blackrock Library.

Having difficulty connecting to the wireless network?

Wireless connectivity in popular areas can sometimes be difficult to access due to the high volume of users connecting from those locations. If you are unable to connect to the network:

  • Try eduroam wireless network in UCD. Eduroam In UCD is a secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.
  • Or try a wired network point.

Wired network points

Wired network points provide an alternative way of connecting to the internet via the UCD network. To access the wired network you will need to register your laptop.

There are a number of Wired Network Points across all our Library floors.
