Ruth Mulholland

Ruth Mulholland graduated with a Bachelor of Music in 2006. After briefly working as an intern at AirMTM, focusing on promoting jazz artists, she became Assistant Chorus Manager for the Royal Opera, London. For nearly 7 years she was involved in the day to day management of the 48 full time chorus as well as the extra chorus list, actors and dancers for all opera productions.

She was then Company Manager for Scottish Opera working on their large scale productions in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness and Belfast.

She returned to the Royal Opera as Deputy Company Manager for the 15/16 and 16/17 seasons and was Company Manager at Opera Holland Park in 2017.

She has also had various roles with Opera Rara, the specialist record label. These include Chorus Manager, Recording Company Manager, and Production Assistant on their award winning recording of Leoncavallo’s Zaza.

Currently she is Administrative Producer for the Royal Opera working on their mid-scale productions for the newly refurbished Linbury Theatre and external venues. In her first season she worked on two world premieres: Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Coraline at the Barbican Theatre and Na’ama Zisser’s Mamzer Bastard at the Hackney Empire, alongside the first revival of Philip Venable’s multi-award winning 4.48 Psychosis at the Lyric, Hammersmith.
