25 November 2022: International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
The United Nations have designated 25 November as the (opens in a new window)International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women to raise awareness of women being subjected to rape, domestic violence and other forms of violence. Another aim of the day is to highlight how the scale and true nature of the problem is often hidden.
