Professor Niamh Moore Cherry, Dean of Social Sciences and Principal of the UCD College of Social Sciences and Law

Our College is the largest centre for education, research and outreach in social sciences and law in Ireland. The College comprises eleven schools and the central College Office, and attracts faculty, professional staff and students from all over the world to our place of work and learning. Values are at the heart of our strategy and actions and we aspire to connecting and engaging this diverse, creative and excellent scholarly community with our current students, alumni, future students, policymakers, civil society and industry partners. We work together in a culture of collaboration to support each other to thrive and achieve our full potential, in service of broader societal goals. Through our undergraduate and graduate education, research and external engagement, we aim to ensure that our students, faculty and staff thrive and contribute to sustainable wellbeing on our campus, in Ireland and across the wider world.
