Background
Regular feedback has indicated that UCD’s internal communications and engagement channels (email, e-zines, web pages etc) do not meet the needs of the UCD community. Such needs include providing dynamic feedback, accessing communications via personal devices, peer to peer communication, peer recognition and greater collaboration.
Project Objective
This project aims to enhance communication and engagement across the University’s community of 4,500 employees, helping to bring the University’s values to life. An Employee Engagement Platform has been selected and will be implemented in in advance of the 2024/ 2025 academic year.
The platform will enable faculty and staff to
- See what’s happening through UCD active feeds and Inform colleagues of new initiatives, events & opportunities.
- Recognise colleagues for great initiatives and work, helping to build the community.
- Give feedback on initiatives, creating a sense of personal involvement with the success of University objectives.
- Give feedback through targeted pulse surveys on specific issues.
- Create networks through online communities based around shared interest, projects and initiatives.
The platform will also enable the University to
- Segment and target specific audiences – making internal communications more impactful and targeted.
- Bring UCD objectives and goals alive by connecting them to updates, articles and events posted on the platform.
- Gain greater insight and understanding of employee needs through pulse surveys and analytics.
