Project Objective
The Parking Guidance Information System is a project aimed at simplifying the parking process at the University . It addresses the issue of limited parking spaces, especially during peak times, by providing real-time information on parking space availability. This helps individuals already on campus or en route to easily find an available space, and encourages those at home to opt for alternative transportation methods.
The project aims to significantly enhance the experience for the people travelling to campus by car, by reducing the frustration of finding parking, minimising congestion, and decreasing vehicle movements on campus roads. It also supports strategic planning, facilitates greener transportation choices, and has potential cost-saving benefits, such as reducing the need for stewarding and patrolling.
