Background
Our staff, students, researchers, and external readers use the core, frontline Library service to access and find books, journals, and resources in all formats within, and external to, the Library Buildings.
Project Objective
The Library Management System (LMS) discovery project aims to take a user-centric focus to define the requirements and specification for a new library management system. Alongside this, the project will conduct an analysis of the workflows, the processes, and the integration options for such a system. The team will also produce a review of the LMS and Archive Management Systems marketplaces globally in order to prepare the business case for investment in a new LMS. Developing the business case for a new, improved system that is responsive to the needs of faculty and students will directly, positively impact all constituents across the University.
By ensuring a people-focus, the project team will be engaging key stakeholders which include faculty, students, library staff, researchers, and external readers. Given it's discovery-focus, this project will produce the outputs listed below.
