Join staff and students from the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine at this year’s (opens in a new window)UCD Festival on Saturday 10 June! We have a number of events taking place on the day:
Vet for a Day! (Booking required)
In the Veterinary Clinical Skills Centre, you’ll meet our amazing animal models and we’ll demonstrate Clinical Skills techniques such as IV catheter placement, suturing & blood collection. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about veterinary diagnostics and get involved in surgery preparation, milk Nóra the Cow & deliver new puppies into the world!

Vet for a Day - Simulation Model Making Insights
As practical, hands-on training with simulation models continues to play an increasingly bigger role in veterinary education, come along to an informative and entertaining discussion with our Clinical Skills Centre team to find out more about model making and how materials and procedures used to train Vets and Vet Nurses are developed with support from the UCD Veterinary Hospital team.

Skulls, Specimens & Slides - Exploring Veterinary Science
Explore Veterinary Science through a range of interactive activities. Learn how to use a microscope and identify specimens from our Veterinary Labs. Find out how we test samples and what they can tell us about our pet’s health. Identify skulls & specimens used in anatomy and pathology teaching.

Event details: Friday evening drinks reception & canapes. Saturday evening drinks reception followed by dinner.
