Veterinary Registration Requirements

Following graduation it is the duty of the graduate to register with the veterinary governing body in the country they plan to work in. Below you can find some useful information on this process.

The Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI) is the relevant authority for veterinary in Ireland. For information on registering with the VCI click here.

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) is the relevant authority individuals are required to register with in order to practice in the UK & Northern Ireland. For information on registering with the RCVS click here.

Graduates from AVMA accredited schools looking to practice in the United States of America are required to sit North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE). For more information on this please visit the ICVA website here
