March 2024: Dr Anita McKeown and Rebecca White

Muinín Catalyst Sustainable STEAM: developing a place-based STEAM learning programme for post-primary learners in Ireland

In this seminar, Dr. Anita McKeown FRSA FIPM & Rebecca White, Project Co-Leads, School of Materials and Mechanical Engineering will present their findings from Muinín Catalyst Sustainable STEAM (MCSS), a Science Foundation Ireland Dept. of Education co-funded Discover Programme. This 2-year funded regional project will work with 16 schools, beta-test an agile response to augmenting and transitioning the Irish senior cycle with 21st Century future-ready skills towards a curriculum for all. Building on prior research, MCSS has evolved through their work with close to 1500 learners and their teachers.
