First Aid Response Training Course

The SIRC Office arranges a number of certified 3-day First Aid Response (FAR) courses for staff every year, facilitated by an external provider. Places are limited and in the interest of fairness, the SIRC Office will try to ensure places are spread across the University.  It is no longer possible to complete an expression of interest form for this course, however we will continue to offer spaces to those on the existing waiting list.

If you would like to be considered for a place on this course, you will need to complete the form below. Priority will be given to Schools/Units where (a) currently there are no first aiders or (b) additional first aiders are required based on the nature of the unit's activities and/or the number of certified First Aiders already in situ.

You may need to consult your local Safety Coordinator or Head of School/Unit in the first instance and before completing the form to establish the need for first aiders in your area.

Once a place on a course is offered, the participant must confirm that they have School/Unit approval to attend.

All staff are reminded that first aid is also available through the UCD Emergency Line Number on extension 7999 / 01 716 7999 from a mobile.

To be considered for a place on a course in 2025/2026, please complete the form (opens in a new window)HERE.
