Una Europa Seed Funding Call 2024
The Una Europa Seed Funding Call 2024 – aimed at early-career researchers – is now open.
The Call invites early-career researchers* (ECRs) of any discipline to apply for funding to kick-start long-term collaboration between alliance partner universities. Una Europa is an alliance of 11 partner universities, including UCD, who are working together to build a truly European University of the Future.
Una Europa welcomes proposals for collaborative projects in research, education and societal outreach. The topics of the research proposals may be determined by the researchers themselves, and are not limited to Una Europa Focus Areas.
The Seed Funding projectteam must consist of:
- 1 coordinator from an Una Europa university.
- At least 3 additional Una Europa universities, with an academic lead at each partner.
- An early career researcher at each of these 4 universities must be involved.
Project budgets of up to €39k are available. The total budget for the 2024 call for proposals is €220,000.
The deadline for proposals is 28 June, with the outcome issued in November 2024.
* For the purposes of this Seed Funding Call, early-career researchers are defined as doctoral degree holders who are actively pursuing research but who are not yet fully independent, with no more than seven years of experience since completion of their doctoral degree. (Applicants whose doctoral degrees were awarded earlier may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to justification.)
