The theme of this year’s festival is Celebrating our History, Embracing our Future. Keep an eye on the National (opens in a new window)Calendar of Events to see what is happening near you and online. We encourage everyone to get involved whether they have lived experience, are academics, or simply wish to be involved in shaping the future of health and social care research in Ireland.

The Living Stories Behind Cancer Research
The UCD Cancer Trials Cluster and St. Vincent’s UCD Cancer Centre, in collaboration with The Patient Voice in Cancer Research, PPI Ignite Network @ UCD, and the Irish Cancer Society, are delighted to host The Living Stories Behind Cancer Research.
Inspired by the Human Library concept, this interactive event invites attendees to “borrow” people instead of books — including a patient, nurse, consultant, researcher, and funder — to explore through small-group conversations the personal stories and lived experiences behind cancer research.
