Applications are invited for a temporary, maternity cover post as Centre Operations Manager in CeADAR Ireland’s Centre for Applied AI. CeADAR is part funded by Enterprise Ireland and the IDA and is the national centre for applied AI, data analytics and machine intelligence. CeADAR which is based in UCD conducts research in AI and data analytics and in related areas and develops proof-of-concept applications in cooperation with our industry partners. The Centre is also active in its participation in Horizon Europe consortia. The research at CeADAR covers a broad spectrum including explainable AI, computer vision, cybersecurity, machine learning, prediction, text mining and natural language processing, data visualisation, and data management across a diverse range of verticals from satellite, drones (UAVs), green energy, FinTech and everything in between. Additionally CeADAR is actively involved in several venture-funded start-ups.

The post holder will be expected to run the core operations functions of the Centre. Additionally, the post holder will be directly responsible for the supervision of a small administrative team, and managing the delivery of all operational/financial/administrative tasks deriving from the many CeADAR activities. The postholder will also assist with the marketing and communications functions across the technology centre.

The successful candidate will already have a demonstrated and successful background working as a Centre Operations Manager and ideally be familiar with the broad concepts of Artificial Intelligence and Analytics. The candidate must also have clearly proven pedigree in the management and delivery of large (multi-million Euro) projects, as is experience in financial administration and financial reporting. A proactive approach to team working is vital. The post holder will be required to work with national and international government agencies and businesses and should have confidence in their abilities to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, thereby deriving maximum value from Centre income. Finally, the post-holder should have experience of working with funding agencies and administering their awarded budgets and have demonstrated capabilities in stakeholder management.
