In July 2015, the following change was made to the Student Email Protocol: in addition to the UCD Connect email, communications will also be sent to the personal email account of all students who have provided a non-UCD Connect email address.

Why are emails now being sent to both my personal and UCD Connect account?

Using both your UCD Connect and personal email addresses will make it easier for you to receive information from UCD but your UCD Connect account remains the official channel of communication.

How can I stop getting emails to my personal email account?

  • Log in to your SISWeb account and click on the ‘My Registration’ tab
  • On The My Registration page, click on 'My Profile'
  • Select ‘My Email Preferences’ – the default setting is ‘Both UCD and Personal email addresses’
  • If you do not wish to receive emails to your personal email, click on the drop-down menu and select your UCD email address only
  • Click ‘Submit’ when finished

If I stop getting emails to my personal account can I decide to then get them sent to both again?
Yes, go to ‘My Profile’ in SISWeb to change your email settings back to ‘Both UCD and Personal email addresses’.
