UCD EDI Menopause Conference: Time for Change in the Third Level Sector 13 March 2023

The conference created a platform during which we heard about personal stories and experiences that some of the speakers have had on their perimenopause and menopause journey and what has helped them along the way. We were able to hear from organisations that have been working on policies, guidance and frameworks to support employees in the workplace experiencing the menopause.

It was also an opportunity to present UCD’s development of a Menopause policy and collaboration with the Menopause Hub on this. The conference allowed the speakers and the participants to have conversations and speak freely and openly in a safe and respectful environment.

The conference was sponsored by a member of the University Management Team, Professor Aoife Ahern, College Principal of of Engineering and Architecture. The event was supported by the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Unit

You can ready more about the conference panels and speakers on the Conference website.
