EoI for Postdoctoral Fellowships

The School of Computer Science is welcoming Expression of Interest (EoI) from researchers wishing to join one of our exciting research groups in Dublin.  The interested candidates will meet with faculty members that share the same research interest and will jointly develop a proposal that will be submitted to the Marie Sklodowska-Curie(opens in a new window) Postdoctoral Fellowship 2023 call. Successful proposals will be sponsored by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe programme.

The research focus of the School covers a broad range of themes including AI, Security, Human Computer Interaction, Computational Biology, Quantum Computing. Fundamental Science and cutting edge applications are the core of the work carried out in the school. The school has also deep connections with the Irish public sector and companies based in Ireland and together work on new technologies.

The full list of faculty members that this year are inviting applications in one of the thematic areas can be downloaded from HERE

To submit an EoI the interested candidates must meet the eligibility criteria* of the postdoctoral fellowship 2023 call and have to complete the application form available at the bottom of this page by 01st June at 5pm GMT.

The application consists of an administrative section whose information are used to assess the eligibility of the applicant and a narrative-EoI composed of four sections (CV, Research Interest, Personal Statement and Short Project Description) which will be uploaded on the form as a Pdf file. For the narrative-EoI please use THIS EoI-TEMPLATE file. The applicants will also indicate up to two academics with whom they wish to meet and discuss their project idea.  Applicants that do not have a Short Project Description to propose can still submit an EoI if they wish to discuss project ideas with the academics of their choice.

All the EoIs will be initially reviewed in terms of eligibility and research interest affinity with the faculty members chosen in the application form by the applicants. All the candidates will be informed of the outcome and the selected candidates will be contacted directly by the academics for an initial chat to explore common research interest and the possibility to work together on a proposal toward the postdoctoral fellowship 2023 call.
