Pay Scales

Page updated 16 November 2022

Below you can browse all the current pay scales in UCD, arranged by employee Category. On occasion, you may need to consult the Pay Scales Notes (new tab) for more details. This will be clearly marked in the ‘notes’ field.

Academic Consultant Pay Scales can be found on this website.

Researcher Pay Points

Researcher appointments are made at a set of agreed fixed salary points. The Principal Investigator is responsible for proposing a salary at a point that is compatible with the applicant’s skills and experience and competitive with other prospective employers. Find out more in the Research Funded Resourcing section.

National Agreements and Emergency Financial Measures

Revised salary rates have been introduced as a result of the Public Service Stability Agreement 2013 – 2020 (Haddington Road Agreement/Lansdowne Road Agreement) and the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Act 2015.

Full details, including tables showing the current and revised rates of pay, are available on the UCD HR Intranet Public Service Agreements page.
