This project is entitled ‘Composers in the Curriculum’. Influenced by the Leaving Certificate music course having no named women composers, Aoife Murphy (a PhD candidate from the School of Music, working onHistorical Musicology) started working on this project to provide resource packs for secondary school teachers on women composers.
Aoife has recently received UCD Seed Funding to work on this project with a partnership in a school and will host an event in UCD Innovation Academy in October 2026, where the students of a Junior Certificate classroom will attend.
