Issue XI of New Word Order is in print!
The journal was launched on December 4, with UCD's Simon Costello as Featured Poet and Featured Artist Taryn de Vere, plus a brilliant international lineup of poets and prose writers. The launch took place in the Hendrick Hotel in front of a packed crowd.
Dr Jonathan C. Creasy (School of English, Drama and Film) as Executive Editor, and a team of 13 UCD undergraduates edited the journal, with the extraordinary addition of designer/typesetter Rossi McAuley and his Distinctive Repetition design studio, who have helped take the print journal to a new level of professionalism.
This was an exceptional NWO editorial team, and they deserve a huge amount of credit for acquiring and editing the very fine poetry and prose in Issue XI.
This ongoing project represents significant Practice-as-Research in the Mary Lavin Centre for Creative Writing -- engaging students, writers, editors, publishers, doctoral candidates, designers, and the public.
