Irish Culture and Social Transformation: Lessons from the Irish Literary Revival
What can the achievements of the Irish Cultural Revival of the early twentieth century teach us about navigating climate challenges today?
This seminar-workshop, led by Prof P.J. Mathews and Dr Denyse Julien (Climate KIC), draws on insights from the Climate KIC Irish Deep Demonstration project to explore how past social transformations in Ireland can guide community-based, sustainable change in the present.
Held in UCD’s Trapdoor Theatre on 25th September 2025, this interactive session combines presentations, critical reflection and discussion to inspire new ways of thinking about the green transition through a cultural lens.
