Dr Mark Coen receives Charlemont Award

Dr Mark Coen has been made a Charlemont Scholar of the Royal Irish Academy for 2018. The Charlemont Grant will enable Mark to travel to the University of Victoria, Wellington, to conduct research on the law and practice relating to jury secrecy and jury question trails in New Zealand. In addition, Mark will present papers on his research on Judge-Jury Relations (at the University of New South Wales, Sydney) and on jury intimidation in 1920's Ireland (at the University of Victoria, Wellington). The photograph shows Mark receiving his Charlemont award from Professor Michael Peter Kennedy, President of the Royal Irish Academy.
