Dual Degree student Claire Mohan wins prestigious award from French University

Claire Mohan was awarded a Prix de Lauréat de la Licence en Droit by the University of Toulouse 1 Capitole for her results within the top three students of her class in 2014/2015. She was invited to a formal reception by the Dean of Law, Professor Hugues Kenfack, of the University of Toulouse to celebrate the occasion. Claire, who is a UCD Ad Astra Academic Scholar, is now in her fourth and final year of the BCL/Maîtrise degree programme.

The BCL/Maîtrise is a dual degree in Irish law and French law. After four years of study, students obtain two law degrees, one in Irish law and one in French law, from either the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, or the University Toulouse 1 Capitole depending on where students choose to spend their two years of study in France. The BCL/Maîtrise is an intensive degree programme aimed at highly ambitious students and equips graduates with an exceptional range of legal and linguistic skills.
