Employment Law: Guest Lecture and Book Launch
The recent Annual Distinguished Lecture on Employment Law was delivered by Professor Judy Fudge of the University of Kent on the subject of "Constitutionalising Labour Rights" in which she examined recent Supreme Court of Canada decisions on the guarantee of freedom of association.
Coinciding with the lecture was the launch of the 5th edition of ‘The Trade Union and Industrial Relations Acts’. The author, barrister Anthony Kerr, is a Lecturer in Law at UCD Sutherland School of Law and a recognised authority on employment law. Guests included RTE’s Ingrid Miley and Kevin Duffy (pictured), chairman of the Labour Court who introduced the author.
